This summer in Tivoli you can visit the gardens of Villa D’Este by night. Every Friday and Saturday admission is from 20.30 to 23.00 output before 24.00. Visit certainly suggestive of rich special effects of light on the fountains. Ticket price: € 9.50 full, reduced  € 6.00

To the construction of the villa, led by Pirro Ligorio, contributed some of the most important artists of the time, such as Bernini, rivaling in technical virtuosity and artistic and inspired by the splendor of ancient Rome. The lush gardens and terraces are built on natural slopes and fed directly by the Aniene river, numbering more than 200 jets, 250 waterfalls, 50 fountains and 100 basins.

 Many of the evenings will be animated and music concerts. In early September, the fourth edition of the festival “The Rose Room”, dedicated to the music of Franz Liszt. Until October 31, moreover, you can visit the exhibition Flora Romana. Flowers and culture in the art of Mario de ‘Fiori.

Villa Ada is one of the most beautiful parks in Rome. During the XVIII the park was restructured by some pathway, some small temple creating an ambient really romantic.Various vicissitudes saw the Villa passing trough different owners between Pallavicini’s prince, the Real House and their administrator  theTellfner Count who gave to the park the name of his wife: Ada.

With such a backdrop, full of beauty and history, musicians from all around the world will meet to show once again that the sheer joy of music is a universal pleasure that brings together human beings from all races and from all walks of life. A valuable and much-needed messagge in our current times.

Organized by the Italian Federation  of Equestrian Sports this event has reached its 76th edition, to be held from May 22nd to 25th 2009 in Rome, at the historic Villa Borghese.

The story of the competition begins in 1928 with four teams  (France, Poland, Spain and Italy) and with an Italian, the captain Sandro Bettoni as the great protagonist with three individual victories and a great contribution that helped his team to obtain the Cup of the Nations.

Since then the increasing prestige of the demonstration has attracted many kings, presidents, ambassadorial, and important characters of the politics of and the social and cultural life.

The Roman contest is still recognized as one of the most fascinating horse shows in the World and as such has been inserted among the eight appointments of the Samsung Super League by 2003, a sort of Great Slam, the circuit of the best European contests to which the eight best teams of the world are invited.

VILLA YORK in ROME

image Villa York, also known as Villa Baldinotti or Bichi Ruspali, is a Roman villa located in the valley of houses with views of Villa Pamphili and dome of St. Peter. Its name comes from Cardinal Benedict Enrico Duke of York, very important character at the end of the eighteenth century. They were the nuns of St. Cosimato that transformed the estate, known as Casal di Marcello, in a large company, with a farmhouse and outbuildings artefacts service. In 1647 Zenobio Baldinotti bought Casal di Marcello, starting the construction of a magnificent Baroque villa. Subsequently, the house expanded with the purchase of House of Bravetta and the creation of a beautiful waterway, which leaves from the square Casino and ends in a ninfeo. In 1697 the villa was purchased and renovated by Girolama Marchesa Bichi Ruspoli, who did make several paintings,image build new artefacts which the birds, and planting numerous trees. Finally, in 1800, Villa York reached its maximum extension while developing the best of its agriculture. Today, is a charming residence a few miles from the center of the capital, and is an ideal place to enjoy one of the most beautiful landscapes  for Romans. Perfect for every important occasion, making every reception unforgettable. The spacious halls of the villa can accommodate up to 250 people, while the garden also features a swimming pool, can accommodate up to 400.
